Apabila bertemu dengan orang-orang di luar sana, saya sering diajukan dengan soalan "jika dah beli emas, macam mana nak simpan nanti?" atau "kat mana boleh kita simpan emas-emas kita ni nanti?". Mungkin anda juga begitu. Timbul persoalan di mana boleh anda simpan emas anda dengan selamat.
Simpanan emas boleh disimpan secara peribadi melalui pelbagai cara dan ianya adalah bebas. Ini kerana, anda adalah pemilik mutlak ke atas emas-emas anda tanpa sebarang penguatkuasaan undang-undang yang menghalangnya di Malaysia. Namun, saudara emas sering memberikan jawapan 'safe deposit box' adalah tempat simpanan yang terbaik untuk emas anda selain barang-barang lain yang beharga. Ini kerana, perkhidmatan peti deposit keselamatan biasanya dikawal rapi dan mempunyai sistem sekuriti serta ciri keselamatan yang tinggi. Oleh itu risiko untuk barang bernilai anda untuk hilang atau dirompak adalah tipis.
Pada penulisan kali ini, akan saya senaraikan beberapa pilihan perkhidmatan peti simpanan keselamatan yang boleh kita dapati dan sewa setiap tahun di negara kita ini. Bergantung kepada saiz, ciri keselamatan dan polisi insurans yang dikenakan ke atas peti-peti tersebut atau tidak, sebutharga sewaan peti adalah berbeza-beza antara satu dengan yang lain.
Biasanya, ciri keselamatan yang ada pada peti simpanan ini adalah seperti:
- Simpanan dalam bilik kebal
- Peti keselamatan pada dinding yang tebal dan dikawal rapi 24jam
- Kunci akses peti adalah berciri keselamatan tinggi
- Dua kunci yang berbeza disimpan oleh pihak yang menawarkan peti keselamatan dan pelanggan (yang seharusnya perlu dimasukkan secara serentak bagi membukanya).
- Pelanggan boleh menambah kunci tambahan pada peti
- Privasi untuk mengakses peti yang dibuka
- Insurans terhadap barangan yang disimpan sekiranya berlaku kehilangan atau kecurian (sangat tipis).
Walaubagaimanapun, setiap perkhidmatan ini adalah berbeza-beza bergantung kepada agensi yang menawarkan perkhidmatan tersebut. Untuk makluman, perkhidmatan ini ditawarkan oleh pihak bank-bank utama yang bertauliah dan juga pihak syarikat peti simpanan keselamatan yang telah bertapak di Malaysia secara sah. Oleh itu, caj dan yuran tahunan yang dikenakan adalah berbeza bergantung kepada ciri-ciri yang saya telah senaraikan tadi.
